Closed Beta Software Agreement (EULA)

By installing or using this software (“Beta Software”), you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Beta Software.
1. Purpose of This Beta
This is a closed beta release provided to a limited group of users for testing and feedback purposes only. The software may be incomplete, unstable, or change at any time.
2. Confidentiality & Secrecy
You agree to keep everything related to the Beta Software confidential, including but not limited to:
The existence of the beta
Features, functionality, or behavior
Bugs, errors, performance issues, or limitations
Screenshots, videos, streams, or recordings
Any documentation, discussions, or communications
Any part of the software or its underlying code
You may not:
Share details with anyone outside the beta
Post about the beta publicly (social media, forums, Discords, etc.)
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract code
This confidentiality obligation continues even after the beta ends, unless explicitly released by us in writing.
3. Feedback & Bug Reporting
By participating, you agree to:
Actively report bugs, crashes, or unexpected behavior
Provide honest and constructive feedback when requested
Allow us to use your feedback to improve the product, without compensation or attribution
All feedback becomes the property of Reality Runner.
4. Surveys & Participation
You agree to:
Complete a pre-beta survey
Complete a post-beta survey after testing concludes
Participation in surveys is a required part of beta access.
5. Usage Restrictions
You may:
Use the Beta Software only for personal testing purposes
You may not:
Sell, share, sublicense, or distribute the software
Use the software for commercial purposes
Attempt to bypass restrictions or safeguards
6. No Warranty
The Beta Software is provided “AS IS”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
It may crash, lose data, behave unpredictably, or not work as expected.
Use of the software may violate the terms of service of third-party games, platforms, or services. This may result in detection by anti-cheat systems, temporary or permanent account bans, suspensions, or other enforcement actions.
We are not responsible for any damages, data loss, account penalties, bans, suspensions, or system issues resulting from use of the software.
Use at your own risk.
7. Physical Safety & Third-Party Equipment
Reality Runner provides only a speed-sensing device and accompanying software. Reality Runner does not design, manufacture, sell, or endorse any treadmill or physical locomotion device, including homemade or modified equipment.
Any treadmill, rig, or physical apparatus used in connection with the Beta Software or a Reality Runner device is used entirely at your own risk. Reality Runner is not responsible or liable for any injury, harm, or damages resulting from the use, misuse, construction, modification, or failure of any third-party or homemade device, or from physical movement while using the Beta Software or Reality Runner devices.
8. Termination
We may revoke your beta access at any time, for any reason, including violation of this agreement.
Upon termination, you must stop using and uninstall the Beta Software.
9. Ownership
The software and all related intellectual property remain the exclusive property of Reality Runner. This agreement grants you no ownership rights.
10. Third-Party Software
The Software may include or depend on third-party software, libraries, or services (“Third-Party Software”).
Third-Party Software is provided under its own license terms, which may be included with the Software or made available by the applicable third party.
We make no warranties with respect to Third-Party Software and disclaim all liability arising from its use. Use of Third-Party Software is at your own risk and subject to the applicable third-party terms.
